Sunny Fun - March Stamp-A-Stack

Today I have had time to make some cards for our Stamp-A-Stack in March.  These cards use the stamp set Sunny Fun and I thought they would be great for girls.

I have used various colours including Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist and Tangarine Tango.  The sentiment comes from the Hostess set, Happiest Birthday Wishes.

The other set of cards available to be made at the Stamp-A-Stack on Saturday 17 March are those in the posting below.

More details of this Stamp-A-Stack soon.

Need for Speed - what a great stamp set

Just thought I would share with you a set of cards I made yesterday.  They use the stamp set Need For Speed.  I CASed these cards from a fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Sherri Freese although I had to adapt my cards as I didn't have all the stamp set she had used.

I initially thought this was a great new stamp set for blokes but having made the red card with the sports car I realise it is not just limited to the men in our world.  Memories of a little red car I once owned came to mind.

These cards will be available for making as part of my March Stamp-A-Stack.  More details about this workshop are available on the side bar of this blog.  If you are interested in joining this SAS please contact me by email or phone (6251 4346) and i will put your name down.

All SU products used:
Card stock: Tempting Turquoise, Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, Real Red,Whisper White, Basic Black.
Stamp sets: Need for Speed, Happiest Birthday Wishes, Speckled Wheel (retired)
Inks: Stason Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Spritzer tool, Stampin' Writer Markers.

First Stamp-A-Stack for 2012

The first Stamp-A-Stack (SAS) for 2012 will be held on Saturday 18 February from 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm.  We will be making 8 cards, 4 male themed cards and 4 female themed cards using products from the latest Summer Mini Catalogue.

The first card is the Male card features the stamp set called The Open Sea.  This set also has a matching set of Designer Series Papers which I have also used on this card.

The Female card uses a new embossing folder that is available in the Mini catalogue called Flower Garden.  I have also used stamps from the 5th Ave Floral set and a sentiment from the Short and Sweet to complete this card.

The cost of this SAS is $20.00 which included the materials for 8 cards with matching envelopes and afternoon tea.

If you don't already have a Summer Mini Catalogue, you can see all the products available in it by clicking on the link on the side bar of this blog.  I also have copies available free of charge.  Just contact me and I will get one to you.

If you would like to join me for this workshop please send me an email or give me a call on 6251 4346. If you are unable to make it on 18 February I am happy to make up a kit (stamped or unstamped) for you so that you can put these cards together at home.  The cost of the kit including postage is $20.00.

Fifth Ave Floral

This is a card using Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.  Fifth Avenue Floral is a beautiful stamp set and can make many cards in varying styles.

This is a card made by my sister, Denise, as part of some Stamp-a-stacks she is running early this year.  She has used Rose Red, Regal Rose and So Safron with a touch of Dazzling Diamonds to sparkle it up.

Great job Denise!  Thanks too for helping sort out my blog.

A birthday card for my brother

My brother, Ian, is celebrating his birthday this week and I have made him a card using the stamp set Open Sea with its matching DS paper.  Ian has done quite a bit of sailing over the years although he is not quite old enough to have sailed on boats of the era shown on his card.

I have used Not Quite Navy and Basic Grey card stock and Not Quite Navy ink to create this card.

This stamp set and paper are featured in the Summer Mini Catalogue.  If you would like to see the full catalogue click on the Summer Mini Catalogue on the right hand side bar.  There are lots of wonderful new products available until the end of March in this mini catalogue.

I have included 2 photos to show the card standing and lying flat so that you can see how the DS paper has been used.

Another Lovely As a Tree Christmas Card

This is the last Christmas post I will put up until next year.

This card was made using the ever popular Lovely As A Tree stamp set.  It is a simple and quick card using the Craft White ink pad on Night of Navy card stock.

You need to let the white ink dry and then you put random glue pen spots across the card.  Sparkle the card up with Dazzling Diamonds to make it look like it is snowing and then tear across the bottom edge.

This is such a simple card and so quick to make.  It will definitely be in a Stamp-A-Stack for next year.
