Circle Circus

This card is in a similar style to those I posted yesterday.  This time though, I have used the stamp set Circle Circus.  I have used Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Basic Black for this card.

I have now decided I think the card should be in landscape rather than portrait orientation so will have to make another one to see how it looks turned around.

Flower Fest

Flower Fest is a new stamp set for me and I have been trying out a few ideas with it.  Still more ideas in my head but they will have to wait for the time being.

There are a number of different images in this set that match various punches so it has loads of potential.  I also have some ideas using various colour techniques but these will have to wait a while.

The first card uses Cajun Craze, Basic Black and Sahara Sand.  The second card uses Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Rose Red and Sahara Sand again.

Tiny Tags

Yesterday at Stamp Club we made this card with the Tiny Tags stamp set. 

I bought this set after one of my girls, Allira showed me some fabulous cards made using these tiny little stamps.  The set fits perfectly in the Jewelry Tag punch. 

We also discovered that the images in the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set also fit.

The wonderful Medallion stamp came out of its box to make a fabulous background image for the little stamps.

This card was a real hit with my Stamp Club girls.

Paper Bow

I have been wanting to make this paper bow design for ages.  It was on the Splitcoast Stampers tutorial site some time ago and it has been on my "must try" list for ages.

It was so easy to make and used exactly half a sheet of DS paper.  I will be sharing this project with my Stamp Club girls in a couple of weeks but if you are interested in finding out how to make this bow just send me an email or give me a call.  Happy to provide the instructions.

An 18th Birthday Card

My nephew, Matthew, turns 18 next weekend so a special card was required for this occasion. 

I have made this 3D staged card along a sporting theme.  Matthew has just started at Newcastle University studying PE teaching so I thought this fitted the bill.  He is also swimming at the Olympic trials in Adelaide this weekend although he tells me it is not his time yet but in 4 years you never know what might happen.

This card is a combination of Stampin' Up products including card stock in Crumb Cake, River Rock and Certainly Celery and some stamps from various SU stamp sets but I have also used some non SU products to fit the "sportsman" theme.

It took me a couple of goes to get all the figures to move properly but the final card opens and closes as it should and works well.


The card is off to the household where everyone is very "card making" savvy and will be checked over thoroughly.  I hope it passes muster.

Another new stamp set

At Christmas I was lucky enough to receive a number of new stamps sets which I am slowly getting around to using.

This weekend I decided I would start using the Tiny Tags set with it matching punch.  This is the first attempt which I am quite happy with.  It also uses the Vintage Vogue set and is in Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.

I think the Tiny Tags set will turn out to be very versatile given it has a number of sentiments, flourishes and adornments for cards.

Sale-A-Bration

Celebrating one hundred years

Next weekend we are going to a "100 year celebration".  Friends of ours are both turning 50 and so jointly share 100 years.

It took me a lot of thinking to come up with a card that reflected a part of both of them and that also wasn't too "flowery" and "OTT".

I used a "Double Dutch Fold" card template that came out on Splitcoast Stampers a while back and then went searching for suitable stamps to use for the card.

Never Ending Wedding Card

This week I have been making a Never Ending wedding card for Rhiannon who is getting married next month.

These cards are great fun to make as you have to go searching through all your supplies to find just the right stamp for the many pieces that are needed.  The card looks like a square but as you fold each time you see a completely different layout of images and sentiments.

As you can see I have used various stamps sets (some retired and some not SU product) to create this card.  I enjoyed using the Morning Mocha DS paper.  It adds a luxurious look and feel to the card.

I have run classes showing how to make a Never Ending Card previously but if you are interested in learning (or relearning) how to make one of these cards please contact me and I will include this card in one of my workshops.
